Investment strategy

We invest at Pre-Seed, Seed, and occasionally Series A stages with a typical ticket ranging between $100k and $1m and reserve significant capacity for follow-ons.

We typically co-lead our rounds and engage actively in building stronger investor and business development networks for our portfolio companies, leveraging our global presence.

80% of our activity is focused on Software and DeepTech across Health & Bio, Fintech, and complex use cases within the Enterprise stack. The other 20% of our activity is in Consumer, including D2C brands.

Every year, we review 3,000+ opportunities and back 20-30 new companies. Approximately 50% of our deal flow is originated in North America, 30-40% in Europe, and the remainder is spread across Southeast Asia, MENA, and Latin America.

Initiatives

Since 2010, TA Ventures has supported the efforts of several non-profit initiatives in Ukraine

Code Club Ukraine

Code Club is one of the very special and long-lasting relationships for us. It is a volunteer-led initiative with the goal of providing 9 to 11-year-old children with access to coding classes. Code Club Ukraine is part of the global initiative of Code Club World, headquartered in the UK. So far, over 13,000 Code Clubs have been opened in 12 countries. In Ukraine, we have over 1068 local clubs in 48 cities with over 21,000 program participants.

WTECH

As a female-led VC firm, we feel strongly about the issues of women in tech. WTECH is the first Ukrainian community for female leaders in the technology business. Founded in 2018, WTECH is an ecosystem for women to explore opportunities for personal and business development as well as an outlet for sharing experiences and knowledge. Supported by over 30 advisers from different business verticals, the community has 3500+ members.

OneUkraine

Founded after the start of the full-scale invasion in 2022, OneUkraine is a charitable platform providing humanitarian aid and spearheading scalable infrastructure projects in Ukraine. OneUkraine is backed by the founders of TA Ventures, DeliveryHero, Lakestar, BITKRAFT, GetYourGuide, HomeToGo, and other leading European tech entrepreneurs.
